Nelly and Nadine is an unlikely love story between two women who fall in love on Christmas Eve 1944 in the Ravensbrück concentration camp. For many years, their relationship was kept a secret.

After the defeat of Germany, a boat full of women who survived concentration camps was brought to Sweden. Someone filmed the event, and director Gertten had previously identified the two people in the film and made films about them.
They were separated, but both survived
This is the third film to feature two women — Nelly Mousset Vos and Nadine Hwang. The two women met and fell in love in the Ravensbrück concentration camp.

Years later, Nelly’s granddaughter contacted director Gertten, who made this meticulous documentary about a lesbian couple who traveled the world to be together. I think it’s an outstanding film and I gave it a 10.
