The film was presented by the nuns of Mother Cabrini's order, some of whom were in their 90s
Chronology
After witnessing disease and poverty in the slums of New York City, Italian immigrant Francesca Cabrini embarks on a daring journey to convince a hostile mayor to provide housing and health care for hundreds of orphaned children. By the end of the film, several of them are said to be crying, with a few exclaiming, «THIS IS Cabrini!» Archbishop Corrigan was not the son of poor, working-class Irish immigrants in New York. Corrigan was born in New Jersey to Irish immigrants who owned a grocery and liquor store in Newark and were wealthy.

THIS STORY WAS SO GREAT
Okay, I stumbled upon this movie and a ticket. So I just decided to see it one Thursday night. I should also start by saying that I don’t care for religious movies, but I’m always a fan of a good female protagonist.
Thank you to everyone who funded this!
And the quality of the cast and the setting… thank goodness. I couldn’t stand 2 hours of an expensive Hallmark style movie.
I recommend it!
I left inspired and in love with Cabrini and in awe to see New York as it once was. I realized that God is silent in the movie. It was a period & heroic movie that anyone would enjoy.
