About a decade after the gates' connecting worlds appeared, Awakening 'Hunters' with superpowers, weakest hunter Sung Jinwoo encounters a double dungeon and accepts a mysterious quest, becoming the only one able to level up, changing his fate. The fight scenes are breathtaking, and the seamless transition from Season 1 into Season 2 is perfectly executed. The animation quality is on another level, and the character designs are stunning. Combined with exceptional sound design and an impressive Japanese voice cast, it’s hard to imagine a better execution. I had honestly thought they wouldn’t handle the recap of Season 1 as well as they did, but they exceeded all expectations. This film amplifies the hype for Season 2, and I’m so glad I got to experience it-it’s truly a masterpiece.
