This series has fantastic characters and is extremely creative
I’ve always loved the DC universe, and while I think the DCEU was ugly, I’ve been really disappointed with some of the DCEU projects. I think when James Gunn says that superhero movies and TV have become too generic, that’s their point.
I think James Gunn is really going to change things up and I can’t wait
There have been so many superhero movies in the last decade that when people see a new one coming out, they don’t go to the theater because they think “yet another superhero movie, damn, there’s been too many”; also, just a generic action movie (especially sequels). I also think that because Marvel has been so much more popular, DC has a lot of great characters that have been overlooked (by fans) and I think if everything at DC works out in the next few years, then lesser known characters will be able to do well at the box office as long as they can grab people’s attention and really have a special feel to them.
