The Duttons faced new challenges in the early 1900s, including the rise of Western expansion, Prohibition, and the Great Depression. Although the Great Depression began in 1929, it began early in Montana. The Great Depression began in Montana in 1918, nearly 10 years before the rest of the nation. While the rest of America was prospering, Montana was struggling. Between drought and reduced demand for agricultural products brought on by the end of the «Great War» (also known as World War I, 1914-1918), many farmers suffered greatly. As a result, Montana farmers would default on wartime loans, leading to widespread bank failures across the state. Between 1921 and 1925, half of Montana’s farmers lost their land. In 1925, 70,000 of Montana’s 82,000 janitors left. Also, 200 banks in Montana failed. The drought not only affected the crops, but was also followed by locust infestations and livestock. Appeared in Timeless Heroes: Indiana Jones and Harrison Ford (2023). After Yellowstone, this was a different but similar feeling… I really enjoyed it and even though I should see some ore, something makes me think it could be better (harder challenge after Yellowstone!) BUT. BUT. BUT…. It feels like it’s finally starting to move along with the side stories that blend together… And then it ends – apparently there’s a second season planned – BUT – if not, you just wasted your time because the story isn’t even over by the end of this first season. And there’s currently no announcement or plan for a second season… This really pisses me off! It’s like going to a really good restaurant and being served only sides and no main course!!! What the hell…. Give it to the producers… Get your fingers out!!!!
