Andy Goodrich’s life is turned upside down when his wife enters rehab, leaving him alone with his young children. Goodrich leans on Grace, his daughter from his first marriage, as he eventually develops into the father she never had. Writer-director Hallie Meyers-Shyer wrote the title role specifically for Michael Keaton. «I wrote it 100 percent with him in mind,» she said, «to the point where if he said no, I would have buried it and myself in the yard.» The «Cinnamon Toast Crunch» box during the breakfast scene keeps rotating 180 degrees.. Andy is helped by Grace (Mila Kunis), his daughter from his first marriage, to be the model father that Grace never had as a child. Goodrich is a great film. Writer-director Hallie Meyers-Shyer has given us a film that is funny, emotional at times & will have you smiling when the credits roll. It’s a perfect slice of life film. Michael Keaton is magnificent and Andy Goodrich. Mila Kunis as Grace is awe-inspiring. Keaton & Co. Kunis share an adorable camaraderie in all their scenes together. Vivien Lyra Blair & Co. Jacob Copper are fantastic and Billie & Moses, respectively. The supporting cast is phenomenal. Goodrich is a must see for anyone who likes drama & fans of Michael Keaton & Mila Kunis. See it on the big screen & give independent films a chance to shine at the box office for a change.
