Great acting from everyone
Best new show of the moment. After the disappointing fourth season of Jack Ryan and the usual average shows, this feels better in every way. It seems very well done and the action and fight scenes look amazing.
An original IP that doesn’t make the male lead a female lead
I feel like a lot of the criticism of this show in the comments section is because of the all-female cast, how unrealistic it seems, and I, for one, don’t care for a good action show led by a guy. And I haven’t seen a red flag like the one where every man is an incompetent. And I initially thought this was going to be a more action-packed, no-nonsense show, but then they went a little more into the family, which I’m usually embarrassed about, but I didn’t dislike what they did there.
We’ll see what the great Morgan Freeman brings to the show
My only criticism is that the plot of what this particular group of actors do limits the story a lot, and it could be killed by moving on from the plot/villain of a season… It needs to be more fleshed out so they can create a new home with more action and fast-paced action, otherwise it risks becoming too episodic, like a blacklist. PS: So far, Nicole Kidman’s role is incredibly small and unremarkable and could have been played by anyone else…
It’s entertaining even without being the History Channel show that some critics seem to like
But from what I’ve seen so far, the show could stand alone with Saldana without any other A-listers. TLDR Overall, cautiously optimistic, but I like what I’ve seen so far, everything is incredibly polished and well done.
